Therapy is often a difficult and personal journey. People turn to therapy for a variety of reasons. For some, the goal is to gain insight into themselves, or to repair and improve relationships with others. Perhaps the goal is to resolve grief and trauma or even to improve their coping and communication skills. Whatever the reason for seeking therapy, the goal is to improve one's overall happiness.
I believe in helping people to learn new skills, enhance their existing skills and work through difficult emotions as they strive to reach their goals.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas since 2009 and have been in private practice for 3 years and counting! My vast experience has helped me to work with both adolescents and adults in a caring and compassionate manner.
No two people are the same, therefore, no two approaches should be the same for therapy. I utilize several different therapeutic approaches based on the unique needs of each client. Supportive therapy, confrontive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoeducational.
