I have been working in the mental health services field since 1998 and have worked in several different areas of mental health over the last 20+ years.
While residing in Colorado, I held a position as the Director of a residential group home for dual diagnosed children, a caseworker for Colorado Department of Human Services, and as a Supervisor for Maple Star of Colorado Foster Care placement agency.
In 2007 I relocated to Texas and began working as a therapist for a local psychiatric hospital. In 2009, I opened my private practice in the North Houston/Spring area.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas since 2009 and began my private practice! I am also a Texas state board approved supervisor. My vast experience has allowed me to work with both adolescents and adults in a caring and compassionate manner. No two people are the same, therefore, no two approaches should be the same for therapy. I utilize several different therapeutic approaches based on the unique needs of each client. Supportive therapy, confrontive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR and psychoeducational therapy.
